Autumn 23 saw the society return to the Neville GC

La Cala proved to be a great venue for the society weekend away 23, 3 courses challenging the best of our golfers.
Spring 23
Another wet day saw 28 visit The Weald of Kent GC, conditions limited scoring with only 2 getting above the 30 mark, Dean Burns with a fine 37 winning from Marc James 31 and Malcolm Barnes 29. The was notable for a hole in one by Brendan Harkin (below)
Winter 23
With a very wet month of March 32 hardy souls attended North Downs GC, play did start but unfortunately was washed out later in the morning, as such no results were returned, hopefully we will try again later in the year.
Autumn 22
With weather forecasts not looking good 28 memebers and guests again travelled to the coast to play Littlestone GC and enjoyed both good waether and a fine golf course. Steve O'Keefe came out as singles winner with 37 points from Grant Holloway with 36 and Alan Murrell jr 35 points on count back. Anither strong season from Steve O'Keefe sees him retain The Golfer of the Year title. Full resulst on results page.
Summer 22
We had fine weather for a visit to St. Augustine's Golf Club on the outskirts of Ramsgate, Iain Smith won the day with a fine 41 points from Malcolm Barnes and Phil Miles both carding 40 points. Full resulst on results page.
Weekend Away 22
After a miised year and a UK midweek trip we finally got out of the country and back to Portugal. The pressure of celebrities ment we returned to Penina which because of the dry winter wasn't as good as before but still a good test for our group. Damian Tite carded 40 points on the final day to take the overall win with 99 points from Ben James 97 points and Alan Murrell jr with 96 points. Full resulst on results page.
Spring 22
Fine weather prevailed for 33 members attending a Faversham Golf Club in great condition, Phil Miles won the singles with 41 points from Dan Butler 38points and Marc James 37 points. Full results on Results page of this website.
Winter 2022
Al very large group of 37 travelled over to Essex to visit Abridge Golf Club, where Phil Legg notched his 6th singles win with 34 points beating Grant Holloway into second on count back, Bob Murrell taking third place with 33 points.
Autumn 2021
32 memebers visited Farnham Golf Club for the first time as a society, Steve Kemp won the singles event with 38 points beating Phil Miles (36 points) and Steve O'Keefe (35 points) into second and third places pespectively. Another strong result made Steve O'Keefe the Golfer of ther Year for 2021.
Weekend 2021
Despite the pandemic a party of 40 made the trip to Belton Woods Golf Club and enjoyed the best of the English weather over the midweek trip. The courses were I am told in excellent condition and a real test with the water and deep rough coming into play, the lower handicapped members proved to get the measure of the course as the leaderboard will show.
A close run competition saw Dave 'Acorn" Driscoll come out on top with a score of 104, from Ben James on 102 and Martin Dennis one 97, full results of the 3 days can be found on the results page.
Summer 2021
A reduced group visited Copthorne Golf Club and enjoyed great weather and a course in fine condition, Luckily I managed to prevail with a score of 36 points beating guest Seep on countback with Martin Dennis third with 34 points, full details on the results page.
Spring 2021
Extreme gales made scoring very hard at the Spring society meet at Ashford GC, Steve O'Keefe notched his maiden singles win with 34pts, Iain Smith taking second with 32pt and Mrtin Dennis taking third spot on count back from Acorn and Danny O'Flynn all scoring 31pts.
Winter 2021
With people desperate to get out of the house the turn out was massive for the Winter society meet at Southern Valley GC. With very high scoring all round Steve Newman won the singles with 43pts, Colin Johnson taking second on count back from Bob Murrell, both scoring 42.
Autumn 2020
28 Members attended Croham Hurst GC for our first visit to this club, the weather held off and the singles was won by Lee Murrell with 37pts from Micky Moore and Ben James both with 36pts
Re-arranged Spring 2020
31 Members visited Sweetwoods Park GC for day of golf in the memory of society member Paul Green, sadly lost to us earlier this year, the weather didn't look promising but someone up there managed to make it better than expected. The singles event was won by Dave "Acorn" Driscoll with a fine 40 points closely followed by Ben James 38 and Ozzie 36.
Summer 2020
After the lockdown break 40 made the trip to Boughton GC who kindly accomodated our group, big thanks to Doug Thornhill for getting thinks sorted, the weather was kind us and a good day was enjoyed by all attending. Grant Holloway leading the scores with a fine 40 points, 1 ahead of playing partner Keith Jull who was 2 better than 3rd placed Ben James, Phil Miles, Chris Murrell, Brendan Harkin and Terry Perella topped the team score with 109, full listings on the results page.

As we all know the weekend has had to be cancelled for this year and has been moved to the last weekend of June 2021, all being well we can get back on track.

Autumn 2019
32 members attended Chart Hills GC and thankfully the expected bad weather mostly failed to appear, Phil Miles came out winner with a fine 39 points pipping Martin Dennis by 1 with Steve Kemp third with 36 taking the spot on count back from Alan Taylor. The end of another great season saw Marc James named golfer of the year.
Summer 2019
A slightly smaller field than usual enjoyed a very hot day at Westerham GC withe some excellent scoring, the top 3 having to seperated by count back, leaving Dan Butler as winner with his 38 points from Terry Fitzgerald and Martin Kersse. Full results will be posted soon.
Weekend Away 2019
I think it may be our largest field of 40 golfers plus the usaul suspects made the return trip to Portugal to Penina Golf Resort for the 32nd weekend away, Fantastic weather and revised handicaps improved the overall scoring on this difficult test of golf. The final day saw Terry Perella beat the rest of the field by 10 points, from Dave Driscoll and Damian Tite in second and third, full results on results page. Car trouble reducing the field to 31 at Ashford GC, Marc James finishing the day top with 33 points from Iain Smith and Tony Perella both with 30 points. Full results page with roll of honour page updated.

A good winter turn out of 36 golfer enjoyed the fine course at Kingswood GC, Steve Kemp coming top of the field with 32 pointsn narrowly beating Steve Newman and Marc James both with 31. Full results page with roll of honour page updated.

Anice autumn day say 35 return to Abridge GC with the pleasent surprise of bacon rolls!! Colin O'keefe winning the day with 30 points with Martin Dennis and Alan Murrell jnr in second and third. Full results page with roll of honour page updated.

Only 26 made the trip to Royal Eastbourne GC on Friday 7th Sept due to a number of members having other arrangements, Alan Taylor won from guest Paul Chambers and Damian Tite in third, full results on results page with roll of honour page updated.
Weekend Away 2018
36 golfers plus the usaul suspects made the welcome trip to Portugal to Penina Golf Resort for the 31st weekend away, Fantastic weather made up for a course playing at its full length making scoring difficult for all. A close run final day saw Steve Tite come out winning with 89 points from Dan Lockwood and Tony Perella in second and third, full results on results page. Spring 2018
32 memebers again in attendance at Littlestone GC, friendly weather conditions allowed good scoring with Grant Holloway winning with 38 points from Andy Cunningham 37points and Lee Murrell 35points in second and third. The group Bas, Andy Cunningham, Tom James and Steve Newman took the team prize with 138 points, full results on the results page.
Winter 2018
32 members attended our first and hopefully not last visit to Effingham GC, dry weather help make it an enjoyable day, Alan Murrell snr won with 31pts from Grant Hollaway 30pts and Danny Newman in third leading a group of 5 with 29pts. Alan Murrell snr group of Martin Kerrse, Alan Taylor and Lee Murrell also won the team event, full results on the results page.

Autumn 2017
The Addington was the venue for the last day of the year, a difficult test of golf to say the least saw Terry Fitzgerald win with 33 points from Alan Murrell jr and Phil Miles 30 points each.
Summer 2017
Chart Hills GC was the venue minus a few bunkers, a high scoring day saw Colin O'Keefe win with 40 on count back from Iain Smith, Steve Kemp coming third with 37 points again on count back.
Weekend Away 2017
Back to a UK venue saw 32 venture to Rugby to stay at the Draycote Hotel and play Whitefields GC, early forecasts of rain proved wrong as the sun came out to play as well. In what turned out to be a two horse race Nick O'Keeffe clinched his second weekend win beating Tom James into second by 3 points, Malcolm Barnes coming third. Thanks to Rocky O'Keefe for arranging the trip!!
Spring Society 2017
Knole Park saw us mix with the wild life who didn't seem very impressed with our golf! Terry Perella won the day with an excellent 34 points with 3 others getting 32 points count back placing Martin Kersse and Alan Taylor, second and third.
Winter Society 2017
Another good turn out of memebers saw 36 head out into the rain which thankfully eased off. Dan Butler won the day with a fine sore of 36 off of 9, beating Simon O'Beirne and Terry Perella into second and third. A return visit for either a Spring or Summer day would see the course at its best, results confirm the majority of lower handicap players scored best.
Weekend Away 2016 Portugal
Another fantastic weekend was enjoyed by all playing Alto GC following by eating and drinking in Alvor. The overall winner was Brian "Ozzie" Aldridge, from Colin O'Keefe and Colin Johnson, full results can be found on the results page.
